I met a former A-10 crew chief who was excited to reflect on some common experiences. I met kids who are interested in careers in aviation. I met a young leader recently promoted and excited about gaining some new perspectives on leadership. But it was also heartwarming to meet so many people who had already read my book or to talk to people who were excited about reading my book. I have to admit that it was still a bit surreal to see my books on the table. This weekend, I got the incredible opportunity to sign books at Barnes & Noble, Inc. I was hopeful that it would resonate with readers, but you never really know until you write the book and put yourself out there. When I started writing my book, I knew that I wanted to find a way to connect with people, to try and make a difference and an impact.
